Ich habe es Euch verraten – ich liebe die Musik der Final Fantasy Reihe! Und in Rebirth hat mir die Musik mit am besten gefallen. Daher war ich ganz besonders happy, als letzte Woche der OST in der Special Edit Version bei mir eingetroffen ist. Ratet, was am Wochenende hier rauf und runter gespielt wurde? :D

Die Special Edit Version des Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Soundtracks kommt in einer perfekt zum Remake OST passenden Box im Buster-Sword-Design. Die eingelegte Materia ist diesmal nicht türkis-grün wie der Lebensstrom, sondern rot wie … der Lebensstrom? ;)

Final Fantasy VII Remake & Rebirth Soundtrack - limited Special Edit Version

Wie schon beim Vorgänger ist die Box ein optisches Highlight, dazu stabil und wertig.
Der CD-Container im Innern ist aus Plastik und in bedruckten Karton eingefasst. Die CDs sind einzeln auf je einer Seite befestigt und lassen sich problemlos durchblättern. Bonus CD Nr. 8 befindet sich in einer separaten Papphülle. Zusätzlich ist ein mehrseitiges, großformatiges Hochglanzbooklet enthalten, dass neben einer Trackliste und vielen schönen Bildern aus dem Spiel auch die Lyrics zu Aeriths Song „No Promises to Keep“ enthält.

Lieblingstracks

Der Soundtrack enthält so unfassbar so viel Musik, dass ich bisher kaum alles „richtig“ hören konnte. Daher blieben bei mir vor allem die Tracks hängen, die mir im Spiel schon besonders ins Ohr gingen. Das sind

CD 3 Track 12 – Custom Valkyrie (die Valkyrie Tracs waren in Remake schon grandios ♥)

Und natürlich gibt es noch viel mehr. Die Versionen von Aeriths-Theme am Ende sind wirklich schön. Sämtliche Battle-Theme Varianten oder Main-Theme Versionen. Die Musik in den Graslanden oder im Ancient Tempel. Der Soundtrack ist insgesamt einfach wundervoll mit all den „klassischen“ Tracks, also jenen, die sofort die Erinnerungen an das Originals mit sich bringen. Aber auch die jazzigen Stücke haben mir sehr gefallen.

Und ja, es gibt Tracks, die ich grässlich finde. Vieles von dem extrem elektronischen Zeug aus den Battle Arenas (eigentlich alles rund um Don Corneo und die Banditen-Gangs). Aber im Spiel stört es nicht so sehr – und im Soundtrack kann ich es einfach wegklicken. Da es insgesamt nicht viele sind, lässt es sich gut verschmerzen.

Btw – wann immer ich seit Remake Klänge von Tifas Theme höre, fühle ich mich an „Eyes on me“ aus FFVIII erinnert. Das Gefühl hatte ich beim OG Track nie. Bzw, ich empfand umgekehrt selten, dass „Eyes on me“ wie Tifas Theme klingt. ^^‘ Ist das nur in meinem Kopf?
