Gestern wurde Final Fantasy VIII 23 Jahre alt. Herzlichen Glückwunsch!
Es gehört heute zwar nicht mehr in meine persönliche Top3 der besten FF-Spiele, dennoch war es das Final Fantasy, dessen Durchspielen für mich immer am kurzweiligsten war, und das mir auch heute noch mit am meisten Spaß bereitet – woran Triple Triad sicher nicht ganz unschuldig ist. Es war das Final Fantasy, das meine Liebe zum Franchise festigte, das erste, auf dessen Release ich ungeduldig gewartet habe. Ich weiß noch, wie mein Bruder mir im Vorbeigehen auf der Treppe die erste Kopie in die Hand drückte – waaaii, was für ein Gefühl!♥ Das mega Intro mit der Wahnsinnsmusik „Liberi Fatali“ werde ich wohl nie vergessen. Viele Tracks des Soundtracks gehören noch heute zu meinen liebsten Stücken. Ganz vorne dabei „Landing at Dollet“. Am spannendsten war für mich das Entdecken von Lagunas Geschichte. Ich habe jeder neuen Timber Maniacs entgegen gefiebert und könnte noch heute jedes Mal heulen wie ein Baby, wenn ich ihn an Raines Grab stehen sehe.
Danke Final Fantasy VIII für so viel Freude und Gefühl!

Yesterday Final Fantasy VIII turned 23 years old. Happy birthday!
It’s not in my personal Top3 of best FF games anymore, but it’s still the Final Fantasy was the most entertaining for me to play through, and one of the ones that I still enjoy the most today – for which I’m sure Triple Triad is not entirely innocent. It was the Final Fantasy that solidified my love for the franchise, the first one I waited impatiently for to be released. I remember my brother handing me the first copy as I passed by on the stairs – waaaii, what a feeling!♥ I will probably never forget the mega intro with the insane music „Liberi Fatali“. Many tracks of the soundtrack still belong to my favorite songs. Right at the front is „Landing at Dollet“. The most exciting thing for me was discovering Laguna’s story. I eagerly awaited each new Timber Maniacs and could still cry like a baby every time I see him standing by Raine’s grave.
Thank you Final Fantasy VIII for so much joy and emotion!
