Wusstet Ihr, dass nach Cloud & Tifa Cid Highwind mein liebster Final Fantasy VII Charakter ist?
Ich meine – klar, irgendwie lieben wir sie doch alle, oder? Vincent hat das beste Design, Barrets Background ist herzzerreißend, Nanaki ist sowieso eins der coolsten Geschöpfe überhaupt – aber dennoch hat Cid es mir angetan. Abgesehen davon, dass ich ohnehin ein Herz für Dragoons habe – ich liebe seinen rauen Charakter, seinen grumpy-old-man-Humor und vor allem den wahren, weicheren Kern darunter.
Ich war immer etwas traurig, dass es so wenige Cid Figuren gibt, und daher sehr froh, als die AC-PAK Version auf den Markt kam. Trotzdem – so ganz glücklich bin ich damit nicht. Sein Gesicht wirkt so cartoonisch, irgendwie überzeichnet.
Ich bin sehr gespannt auf seine Remake-Version. Einen kleinen Vorgeschmack auf den Kampfstil haben wir ja durch Sonon bereits bekommen – aber was ich mich frage: Wird Cid seine Zigarette zurückbekommen? Was meint Ihr?

Did you know that after Cloud & Tifa, Cid Highwind is my favorite Final Fantasy VII character?
I mean – sure, we kind of love them all, right? Vincent has the best design, Barret’s background is heartbreaking, Nanaki is one of the coolest creatures ever – but still, Cid does it for me. Aside from the fact that I have a soft spot in my heart for Dragoons anyway – I love his rugged character, his grumpy-old-man humor, and most of all, the true softer core underneath.
I’ve always been a bit sad that there are so few Cid figures, so I was very happy when the AC-PAK version came out. Still – I’m not all that happy with it. His face just seems so cartoonish, kind of overdrawn.
I’m very curious to see his remake version. We got a little taste of the fighting style through Sonon – but what I’m wondering: Will Cid get his cigarette back? What do you think?
